Three Generations of Silversmiths. One Defining Digital Chapter.

Nestled in the lanes of Johari Bazaar — Jaipur's storied jewellery district — Our Client has been producing hallmarked 925 sterling silver artifacts since 1963. Founded by their grandfather, a master silversmith trained in the Rajput court tradition, the house became synonymous with handcrafted silver home decor, Kundan and Polki jewellery, bridal trousseau silverware, exclusive wedding gifts and grooming accessories for grooms.

The Problem

By 2023, third-generation heir recognised a critical tension: their ideal customer — the NRI bride sourcing bridal silver from Toronto, the Bengaluru executive seeking a distinguished retirement gift, the corporate HR head procuring 200 Diwali gift sets — could not walk into Johari Bazaar. The solution was to build a digital presence worthy of the brand.

The Challenge

High average order values (₹8,500 to ₹1.2 lakh per piece), emotionally loaded purchase contexts (weddings, anniversaries, milestones), and a discount-driven online landscape created a three-pronged challenge. Every pixel of the digital experience would either build or erode the trust required to close a high-ticket sale with someone who had never touched the product.

Pillar 1: A Storefront Built as an Heirloom

Their Shopify store was built to function as editorial prestige, not a product catalogue. 4K macro photography captured hallmark stamps and silver textures. 360° video replicated the act of holding an object. Scale references — grooming kits on mahogany dressing tables, brooches on sherwanis — gave buyers context.

Every product page detailed the piece's authentic provenance, showcasing the generational heritage and time-honored artisanal techniques behind its creation.

"If the product page looks like a commodity listing, the buyer will price it like a commodity."

A Bespoke Gifting Customizer offered monogramming, wax-sealed handwritten notes, and velvet or hardwood presentation boxes. A 'Book a Gifting Specialist' WhatsApp concierge button with a 90-minute SLA closed hesitant leads directly. BIS certification badges and insured shipping documentation completed the trust architecture.

Pillar 2: Acquisition Built on Intent

  1. Google campaigns

A targeted high-intent, occasion-driven long-tail queries: 'luxury silver anniversary gifts India', 'hallmarked silver photo frame 8x10', 'sterling silver brooch for grooms', 'Indian silver gifts delivery USA'.

  1. Meta campaigns

Instagram prioritised ASMR unboxing video — the weight of a hardwood box being lifted, silver unwrapped from tissue, a monogrammed set revealed — over static imagery, consistently outperforming across all tested formats. Audience stacking layered top-decile income signals with luxury interest data and upcoming life milestones.

  1. Search Engine Optimization

Image SEO, major BOFU keywords & Pinterest proved highly effective for NRI brides building wedding mood boards.

"The buyer searching for a groom silver brooch has already made 80% of the purchase decision. The campaign's only job is to make sure brand appears — and that what they find is worthy."

Pillar 3: Corporate Gifting as a Revenue Engine

While B2C builds brand prestige, B2B drives sustained cash flow. We developed dedicated SEO friendly corporate gifting subpages structured by key occasions—such as Diwali, Christmas, executive onboarding, and corporate milestones. Featuring tiered pricing for bulk orders of 25–500 units, a custom logo engraving configurator, and a direct WhatsApp concierge, these pages streamlined the path for high-intent bulk buyers to inquire instantly.

"A Bengaluru fintech ordered 120 custom-engraved silver business card holders for their Series C close. One order. Six figures."

Within nine months, corporate gifting accounted for 34% of total revenue, at 4.7× the average B2C order value. Recurring festive cycles — Diwali, Christmas, financial year closings — created predictable cash flow that smoothed wedding-season peaks.

Pillar 4: VIP Clienteling

The Gifting Calendar (built in omnisend Email marketing solution) captured occasion context at purchase and triggered automated nudges 30 and 14 days before each anniversary date — personalised, curated, and timely.

Open rates exceeded 52%. Conversion rates ran 340% above standard email benchmarks. Repeat purchase rates among enrolled customers were 2.8× higher than non-enrolled buyers.

Pillar 5: Partnerships That Reach the Right Room

Our client partnered with premium Delhi and Mumbai wedding planners who included groom silver jewelry sets and sherwani brooches in their standard groomsmen packages — reaching exactly the right audience at exactly the right moment, with zero ad spend. Executive lifestyle and tailoring consultants, rather than mass influencers, seeded the men's accessory range.

"Mass influencers buy reach. The right wedding planner in Delhi buys trust — attached to the most important event in a family's life."

The partnership channel generated 18% of total attributed revenue in year one, entirely from referral. Partner-referred buyers showed the highest average order values and the lowest return rates of any acquisition channel.

Results: First 12 Months Online

Revenue grew 3.4× versus the prior year physical store. Average order value rose to ₹22,400 — up from ₹9,400 in-store. Corporate gifting reached 34% of total revenue.

The Lesson

"We didn't go online to find more customers. We went online to find the customers who already belonged with us — they just couldn't reach us yet."

Selling luxury online is not a volume problem — it is a trust problem. When that trust is earned at every layer of the experience, from 4K hallmark photography to a handwritten thank-you note, the price point becomes almost incidental.

The buyer is not weighing ₹22,000 against ₹22,000. They are weighing whether this gift is worthy of the person receiving it. Our Client answer is always yes.
